Hi! I’m Deanna - a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, Certified Dyslexia Interventionist, and Special Education teacher!
As a former Broward public school teacher, I worked at schools across the district, including Silver Ridge, Horizon, and Winston Park Elementary. At each school, I saw firsthand how children slip through the cracks and the need for high-quality reading tutoring.
That’s why I started Sunshine Literacy.
I know how to teach reading in a way that works. My team of reading specialists are trained using research-based practices.

How It Works
Assessment
Every child starts with a comprehensive evaluation that identifies their strengths and areas of need, so we can get straight to work in reading tutoring sessions.
Reading Tutoring
Reading tutoring is provided in groups of 3-4 children. This makes tutoring fun - our students love their sessions!
Monitor Progress
We record your child’s performance during each reading tutoring session so we can provide you with updates and progress.

We offer both!

We provide reading tutoring for kids in grades Pre-K through 6th.

We’re open Monday - Saturday and offer mornings (Saturdays) and early afternoons/evenings.

Yes, we do! We are Direct Pay providers, so you can easily pay for reading tutoring through the Step Up website!

We have two convenient locations, one in Plantation, FL and one in Cooper City, FL.
